Job Summary
Transport patients and patient-related items throughout the Medical Center and surrounding facilities, including LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Operate push/pull gurneys, wheelchairs, and beds while maintaining dexterity for chart management. Communicate clearly to gather and dispense information, read and write legibly, and use office software such as Word and Excel. Troubleshoot basic office equipment and manage multiple assignments under pressure with minimal supervision. Maintain a valid driver's license and complete required training by the end of the introductory period.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Must successfully complete training by the end of the introductory period
- Able to speak clearly to gather/dispense information
- Use push/pull gurneys or wheelchairs or beds
- Use good hand and eye coordination
- Maintain finger dexterity to hold charts, etc.
- Able to read, write legibly
- Speak in English with professional quality
- Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
- Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure

Desired Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
