Job Summary
Lead role for Patient Transporter responsible for transporting patients and equipment within Mercy Medical Center, training new co-workers on the Transport process and Epic software, ensuring safe patient handling and proper body mechanics, maintaining PAR levels for equipment, and adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Requires BLS CPR/AED certification, high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and prior transporting and customer service experience. Applies PPE, tracks patient and equipment movement in Epic, and supports a collaborative healthcare team through adherence to mission and values. Strong emphasis on safety, lifting and physical requirements, and carrying out duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED)
- One year Transporting Experience
- Two years Customer Service Experience
