Job Summary
Transport patients, records, specimens, and equipment to designated areas throughout the organization while responding immediately to emergency situations with CPR and crisis management. Transfer patients to and from wheelchairs, beds, and diagnostic equipment with minimal disruption, operating patient stretcher lifts and maintaining lifesaving certifications. Use patient tracking systems to receive, record, and dispatch transport requests, securing personal property and maintaining confidentiality of records. Work regularly with patients, providers, nursing teams, and imaging technologists, ensuring safety measures are followed for MRI transport and proper use of PPE, IV pumps, and oxygen tanks. Complete additional training on patient moving techniques and equipment care.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to lift 75 pounds
- Must complete additional training upon hiring as related to appropriate PPE use, patient moving techniques, patient equipment care training for telemetry boxes, IV pumps, oxygen tanks and more
Desired Qualifications
- Some areas will prefer BLS certification upon hiring
