Patient Transporter

Patient Transporter at Banner Gateway Medical Center transports patients safely between departments using appropriate transfer techniques and safety equipment (wheelchairs, stretchers), assists nurses with patient movement, and distributes items and specimens as needed. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; role includes operating in a fast-paced clinical care operations environment, utilizing hospital computer systems, and providing customer service to staff, physicians, patients, and visitors. The position is full-time with varied shift times and offers a night-differential and weekend differential; duties may also include transporting equipment, potentially transporting deceased individuals, and occasionally assisting with clerical tasks. Preference given to candidates with high school diploma/GED or equivalent, and familiarity with healthcare terminology and basic computer skills.
