Job Summary
Supervise multiple transport work units, overseeing lobby operations and patient/visitor transport across the Medical Center. Provide daily supervision and coordination for Central Transport personnel, conducting daily huddles and walk-throughs to ensure quality standards and safety compliance. Manage staff assignments, approve time off, and conduct monthly schedules and performance appraisals while cross-training employees for emergency coverage. Liaise with EVS, Valet Parking, Security, and University Police to resolve lobby operations issues and maintain equipment through preventative maintenance checks. Handle customer relations by addressing complaints, completing surveys, and ensuring proper handling of cleaning chemicals and OSHA standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- 1 or more years of supervisory/lead experience including interviewing, coaching, developing, and teaching entry level staff with successful experience in managing challenging situations and circumstances
- Less than 1 year of patient or guest transport in mobility assistance (wheelchair) device or patient or guest lobby attendant experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in related field of study from an accredited college or university
