Patient Transport Tech - Full Time

Job Summary
Patient Transport Tech transports patients (including AED-related transports) to/from nursing units and supports direct patient care; responds to medical emergencies and Telemetry messages to notify clinicians; delivers specimens, medications, and medical equipment; assists with patient flow to Emergency Department and bed management; ensures patient safety using BEEP tools; collaborates with team to provide a safe, respectful experience; must be prepared for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather; required or preferred certifications include CPR (within 30 days) and NAHTM CHT where applicable; experience with hospital software and clinical environments is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
- CPR preferred
- National Association of Healthcare Transport Management (NAHTM) Certified Healthcare Transporter (CHT) preferred
- Previous experience with computers and software including Microsoft Office
- Experience in healthcare or high-stress clinical environments preferred
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Use of Tele Tracking XT, Cerner, Epic, MX-40, bed exit alarm, Power chart, Orchestrate, Vocera and iPhone for direct patient care
