Job Summary

Coordinate patient transport bookings and liaise with Control, Track and Triage, and site teams to ensure timely patient discharges. Act as the second point of escalation for service users, resolving delays and providing clear updates on ETAs or queries. Monitor the Cleric Booking System to maintain accurate records, attend trust bed meetings to forecast transport demands, and assist crews with site audits and third-manning journeys. Provide on-site support to patients experiencing travel issues and relay critical incident information from the hospital to controllers.

Required Qualifications

  • Commitment to patient care
  • Experience of working in a healthcare / hospital setting
  • Thorough working knowledge of Non-Emergency Patient Transport services
  • The ability to plan and prioritise own workload
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – with the ability to explain decisions made
  • Ability to make decisions based on impact assessment
  • The ability to build effective relationships using influencing skills with key stakeholders
  • A full, manual UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points
