Patient Transport

Transport all patient populations to and from examinations, treatments, testing, and procedure areas including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and high-risk ICU. Prepare patients for transport, perform passive and active identification, and effectively communicate with medical employees to ensure appropriate transport of medical supplies and medications, including administering oxygen when required. Assist in providing support for toileting ambulatory patients under the direction of medical employees or registered nurses. Clean and disinfect equipment, maintain clean work areas, and return equipment to appropriate departments while communicating any malfunctions. Discharge patients timely throughout the hospital.
