Job Summary
Transport patients and related items within Health Sciences Centre; assist with lifting, turning, and transferring patients for transport; maintain oxygen therapy and coordinate with professional staff; transport deceased to the morgue and oversee release of bodies to funeral homes; ensure safety and empathy, adhere to infection control, and complete required on-the-job trainings (Cushman Cart and lifts/transfers) within specified timelines; CPR training as per policy; may handle narcotics, blood products, specimens, and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Must successfully complete on-the-job Cushman Cart Training within three months and lifts and transfers training within one month.
- CPR training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
