Transport patients to and from various departments via wheelchair or stretcher in a safe and timely manner, utilizing proper technique. Assist patients from the bed to the wheelchair or stretcher safely and help them get into and out of vehicles. Operate low-flow devices and perform routine daily cleaning of equipment while reporting needed maintenance. Verify patient identification bands and obtain new ones if missing or unreadable. Adhere to infection control policies, safety precautions, and confidentiality requirements during all transport activities. Respond to overhead and electronic pages to complete assigned duties.
