Job Summary
Approach patients and families in a friendly manner to explain the survey process and assist them in completing a questionnaire using a HammondCare tablet. Support patients to share feedback about their HammondCare experience to ensure their voices are heard and contribute to improving future care and services. Refer any patient concerns requiring immediate attention to hospital staff rather than managing them independently. Complete comprehensive training and orientation, followed by ongoing support from the Volunteer Coordinator and additional cyber security training. Maintain a flexible weekly or fortnightly commitment of 1-2 hours between 10:00am and 4:00pm during weekday daytime hours.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, approachable, and confident speaking with new people
- A good listener with strong communication skills
- Comfortable using a tablet device (or willing to learn)
- Compassionate and respectful when interacting with patients and families
- Reliable and able to follow processes and procedures
- Comfortable in a hospital environment
- Interested in improving the patient experience and quality of care
- Weekday daytime hours
- Flexible weekly or fortnightly commitment
- 1-2 hours between 10:00am and 4:00pm
- Volunteers must be aged 18+
- Meet HammondCare's immunisation requirements
- National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
