Job Summary
Assist the Registered Nurse with routine personal hygiene tasks including bathing, hair washing, and tooth brushing. Support patients with nutrition needs by assisting with feeding, drinking, and meal tray setup. Aid with ambulation duties such as dangling, walking, and implementing fall prevention measures under nurse direction. Monitor and document patient inputs and outputs while accurately completing vital signs assessments for blood pressure, pulse, temperature, heart rate, and oxygenation. Report any abnormal values immediately to the registered nurse. Maintain CPR Heartsaver certification and complete required PrismaHealth training within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) course or nursing fundamentals from accredited organization
- Current CPR Heartsaver certification
- Basic Life Support, Heartsaver certification or higher
- Candidates must successfully complete PrismaHealth unit secretary course and training within 90 days of hire
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Variable (United States of America) work shift
- Richland Facility location
Desired Qualifications
- Previous CNA or CMA or related experience
- One year hospital clerical experience
- Basic Life Support, Heartsaver certification or higher preferred
