Job Summary
Assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition/feeding, ambulation, and elimination; monitor inputs/outputs; accurately document vital signs and report abnormal values to the registered nurse; perform duties under RN supervision and assist with basic patient care tasks such as bathing, feeding, positioning, and preventing falls. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate documentation, assisting with meal trays, and completing unit secretary training within 90 days of hire. The role supports the nurse in meeting patient needs and requires completion of specified nursing-related training and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course
- Must successfully complete Prisma Health unit secretary course and training within 90 days of hire
