Job Summary
Provide assistive patient care under RN direction in the 8E Orthopedics unit. Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, hair washing, brushing teeth/hair), feeding and nutrition (meal trays, drinking), ambulation and fall prevention, and elimination (bathroom assistance, bedpan/urinal). Accurately monitors inputs/outputs and documents patient vital signs; reports abnormal values to the registered nurse. Role supports non-management patient care tasks and collaborates with the healthcare team to Inspire health, serve with compassion, and be the difference. Day shift at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course completion
- Current or former CNA or CMA certification may be accepted as proof of training at time of hire
