Job Summary
Patient Support Tech in the Observation Unit providing direct bedside care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include venipuncture, 12-lead EKG, basic glucose collection and monitoring, respiratory care (incentive spirometry, oxygen setup, pulse oximetry, nebulizer), dressing changes, vital signs documentation, recognizing and reporting life-threatening conditions, assisting with activities of daily living and basic nutritional support (bed setup, feeding assistance, calorie intake tracking). Performs nonclinical duties as assigned to support unit flow and patient care, in a part-time night-shift role with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage; opportunities for growth and advancement. Requires light clinical foundation through prior patient care exposure or related clinical rotations; education confirmation of high school diploma or GED.
