Patient Support Tech Cardiac Critical Care Unit

Patient Support Tech in Cardiac Critical Care Unit provides basic bedside care and selected procedures under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include venipuncture, 12-lead EKG, basic blood glucose collection and monitoring, respiratory care (nebulizer, oxygen setup, spirometry), dressing changes, vital signs, recognizing life-threatening conditions, and reporting urgent findings. Performs activities of daily living and basic nutritional support (bed setup, assisting with feeding, documenting intake/calorie counts) as directed, plus other duties as assigned to support unit flow and patient care. Shift is 7:00 pm – 7:00 am; full-time with alternating weekends and 3 holidays per year for both full-time and part-time team members.
