Patient Support Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee patient safety, patient monitoring, and patient care provided by unlicensed personnel under supervision of the Patient Safety Support Manager. Lead hiring, training, and supervision of unlicensed staff; serve as back-up resource for Patient Safety Supporters. Manage day-to-day operations including work assignments, time tracking, performance feedback, and onboarding. Facilitate communication, develop policies for central staffing, maintain sitter usage statistics and monthly reports, and drive initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and patient safety. Act as a consultant to other disciplines, advocate for the patient, and assist with budget oversight related to staff and materials. Collaborate with Educator on educational opportunities and participate in performance evaluations and hiring decisions. Ensure compliance with environment of care and policy updates; support staff orientation and onboarding; contribute to department goals and overall pediatric patient care quality.
Required Qualifications
- At least four years of healthcare and/or supervisory experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based applications.
