Job Summary
Lead, coach, and manage a team of Patient Support Associates to ensure medication adherence, prior authorization completion, and financial assistance support. Provide ongoing performance management, training, and mentorship while managing staffing, scheduling, PTO, and time reporting. Partner with hospital and clinic stakeholders through regular meetings to ensure patients receive medications on time without barriers. Monitor service level metrics, conduct audits, and optimize workflows between Patient Support, liaison, and clinical integration teams. Identify operational improvements, support data analytics projects, and resolve issues for team members and partners. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and system access setup while maintaining confidentiality. This role requires an active Pharmacy Technician license, CPhT certification, and 3+ years of specialty pharmacy experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license/registration (state-specific)
- National certification (CPhT)
- 3+ years pharmacy technician experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lead both remote and on-site teams
- Willingness to travel up to 20% (if outside core locations)
- Solid computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to navigate the internet and web-based platforms
- Data entry and computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Prior leadership experience (formal or informal)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred or in progress)
- Leadership/management training
- Experience with pharmacy/EMR systems (Willow, QS1, RX30)
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and drive results across teams
- Solid operational and analytical skills
- Ability to identify trends and improve performance
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient-focused
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
