Job Summary
Perform patient care, treatments, and procedures within training and competence levels under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assist with activities of daily living including feeding, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients. Promptly respond to call lights and conduct care rounds to monitor patient activity, notifying the nurse immediately of any condition changes. Accurately document all care activities in the medical record and recognize life-threatening emergencies to take appropriate actions. Clean patient rooms, care areas, and department work areas while restocking supplies and evaluating inventory integrity. Complete assigned education and training requirements within the scheduled timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent (GED) or completion of 11 of 12 years of high school education with anticipated graduation within 12 months
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
