Job Summary
Patient Support Representative needed for a full-time medical clinic in Torrance, CA. Responsibilities include greeting patients, check-in, scheduling/rescheduling appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance, obtaining/scanning insurance and IDs, ensuring authorizations are in the system, posting monies and batch reconciliation, and communicating wait times to patients. Additional duties include processing new patient information packets, adding PCPs to charts, managing faxes and medical records requests, confirming appointments, validating insurance eligibility (HMO, PPO, Vision Plans), assisting with insurance verification and authorizations, and maintaining a fast-paced front-desk environment with strong computer, typing, and customer-service skills. Occasional travel up to 50% may be required across multiple clinic locations. Full-time, non-exempt; Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or its equivalent)
- 2 years of experience in the medical field front office
- Experience working with the public.
