Patient Support Associate-Central Nurse Service-Night Shift (35 Hours)

Remove linen from patient care areas and assist in changing linen on unoccupied beds. Distribute water pitchers, cups, and straws as directed by the RN, and assist in managing patient belongings through inventory and transport. Perform patient transport of discharged patients to meet noon discharge targets. Assure adequate inventory of patient care supplies, redistribute supplies within the unit, and replenish locations from pneumatic tube and central distribution. Retrieve and redistribute medications from the pharmacy and pneumatic tube system. Perform regulatory compliance rounds for supply expiration and cleanliness, clean spills, and assemble unit-specific equipment. Transport clinical equipment between departments and facilitate exchange of emergency code carts.
