Job Summary
The Patient Support Associate provides safe, non-skilled therapeutic interventions and focuses on patient supervision to ensure safety, transport of patients for treatment, and preparation of equipment needed for patient care, while maintaining a clean unit environment. Responsibilities include performing additional clerical duties in the staffing office as assigned, assisting with set-up and break-down of treatment areas, observing and reporting changes in patient condition, and coordinating with licensed staff. The role requires independent work, clear communication in English, and the ability to follow multi-step instructions. Preferred qualifications include one year of experience with special needs populations, basic computer knowledge, and CPI or Safety Care certification. The position is based in New Britain, CT, and operates in the second shift with part-time hours up to 24 per week, in a hospital setting with potential occasional unit-wide tasks and clerical support.
