Job Summary
Answer phones in a timely manner, schedule appointments via incoming and outbound calls, and direct callers to appropriate providers. Complete new patient registration by inputting demographic and insurance information, verify patient data for accurate billing, and log all communications within the patient chart. Fill cancellation slots efficiently, update referring physician databases, and respond to patient concerns. Requires bilingual English/Spanish skills, knowledge of ocular symptoms, and familiarity with online scheduling systems and EHR. Adhere to established facility schedule rules.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Possesses medical knowledge as it relates to patient coordination of ophthalmic care
- Acquainted with common ocular symptoms and complaints
- Ability to utilize a desktop computer, keyboard, mouse and headset
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Call Center, Customer Service or other related experience
