Job Summary
Patient Sitter (per diem) assists in patient care under RN supervision: monitors at-risk patients, helps with walking, feeding, and personal care, provides basic emotional support, communicates with the care team, completes thorough handoffs, sets up meals and nourishment, and maintains a clean, comfortable room. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support certification; vaccination against influenza is required. Position supports patient safety and comfort in a hospital setting with per diem/part-time scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Eligibility to work in healthcare setting
- Ability to assist patients with walking, feeding, hygiene, and personal care
- Ability to communicate effectively with patient care team
- Ability to maintain clean and safe patient environment
- Adolescent, adult, and geriatric population experience preferred
