Patient Sitter

Patient Sitter for per diem night shift (7p-7a) at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Observes patient one-on-one to ensure comfort and safety; monitors patient needs and reports observations to the nurse; communicates with patient and family regarding needs; calls code assist when necessary. Identifies potentially unsafe environments and proactively prevents safety issues; adapts work procedures to meet changing patient requirements; pursues quality improvements to increase patient satisfaction. Maintains confidentiality, supports PI policies, and completes tasks and competencies as required. Requires CPR Certification; Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of Nursing Assistant program preferred. Prior healthcare and patient-sitting experience preferred. Per diem role with evening hours, located in Miami Beach, FL. Benefits include health, life, retirement, PTO, and additional programs.
