Job Summary
Lead role overseeing phlebotomy and patient services in the LTC Ref Lab setting. Responsible for department operations, staff coaching/mentoring, scheduling, training, and performance oversight. Focuses on quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and effective communication with internal/external customers. Requires strong leadership, phlebotomy/test management knowledge, advanced computer skills, and experience in a clinical laboratory environment. May involve fingerprinting/covenant agreements and potential driving duties depending on placement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years' experience in clinical laboratory phlebotomy/test management area
- Ability to perform complex problem solving and leadership skills
- Communicates effectively in oral and written formats
- Advanced computer skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Working knowledge of regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements
- ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain
- Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement (IOP placement)
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance policy
