Patient Services Specialist (Intake)

Coordinate patient intake, scheduling, and care delivery by receiving informational calls, directing inquiries, and compiling demographic and insurance data. Obtain medical certification and prognosis from attending physicians, retrieve pertinent medical information, and verify third-party insurance benefits and authorizations. Facilitate nursing assessments, ensure accurate patient charting, and apply local coverage policies to identify optimal care systems while adhering to Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party eligibility requirements. Enter all patient data and call dispositions into the EMR system, perform necessary clerical tasks, and notify management of scheduling or documentation concerns.
