Job Summary
Patient Services Specialist II in Primary Care responsible for registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communications within Nemours’ Palm Bay primary care team. Responsibilities include answering phones, triaging calls, collecting and maintaining patient information, coordinating registration and scheduling paperwork, collecting co-pays and balances, end-of-day balancing, scheduling efficiency, managing electronic communications and EMR documentation, processing release of information and medical records requests, ensuring complete coding information on billing documents, and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires a High School Diploma (with specialized training beyond high school) and welcomes 1–3 years of customer service and healthcare experience; travel to other primary care locations as needed is required. Travel-ready, patient-focused, detail-oriented, and proficient with EMR systems are key competencies.
