Job Summary
Schedule appointment requests, verify insurance participation, and collect demographic information for registration in EPIC. Perform outbound calls for referral scheduling, manage complex scheduling conflicts, and escalate cases to supervisors for resolution. Identify trends, document issues, and mentor other specialists on service delivery and efficient information retrieval. Provide suggestions to improve workflows and protocols while supporting the team with backup coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Strong proficiency in a wide range of scheduling complexity and related workflows
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a pleasant and helpful demeanor through all situations
- Excellent skills in problem assessment
- Good judgment
- Collaborative problem-solving in complex and interdisciplinary settings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and programs
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher
- Prior high volume customer service experience in a call center environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
