Job Summary
Check in and out new and established patients while scheduling appointments efficiently. Obtain and complete insurance information, communicate with patients via the multi-line phone system, and process incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions. Update registration and EMR records as needed. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Gastroenterology-South Clinic in Oregon City. Minimum of one year of work experience is preferred, with Epic EMR familiarity and GI specialty care experience being advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask
- Excellent attendance and work ethic
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety
- Monday-Friday, (8:00 am-5:00 pm) hours
- Gastroenterology-South Clinic in Oregon City location
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office
- Specialty care GI experience
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Epic experience
- Familiarity with insurance and referral processes
