Job Summary
Check in and out new and established patients while obtaining and completing insurance information. Promote efficient physician scheduling by managing appointments and surgeries according to office protocols and physician requests. Process incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions, then update registration and EMR records as needed. Answer phones on the multi-line system and handle other duties as assigned. This float position covers South Endoscopy Centers in Oregon City and Tualatin with typical hours Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in Surgery or other complex scheduling
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Familiarity with insurance and referral processes
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask
- Excellent attendance and work ethic
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety
- Monday-Friday (6:15 am - 3:15 pm OR 7:00 am - 4:00 pm)
