Job Summary
Check in and out new and established patients, manage inbound referrals, and schedule appointments efficiently. Obtain and complete insurance information while updating registration and EMR records as needed. Answer phones on a multi-line system to ensure a consistent, efficient experience for patients and stakeholders. This phone-based role supports the General Surgery & Burn Specialists Clinic within The Oregon Clinic's ecosystem of care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask
- Excellent attendance and work ethic
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety
- Full-time (36 hours per week)
- Monday-Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office or clinical setting
- Specialty care experience
- Prior experience in complex healthcare scheduling
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Epic experience
- Familiarity with insurance and referral processes
