Job Summary

Greet patients and visitors professionally, check them in and out of appointments, and verify identity, demographics, and insurance information. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments while managing clinical staff calendars to optimize access. Answer incoming calls regarding appointments, services, and directions, then route inquiries to clinical staff. Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at the point of service, explain financial responsibilities, and assist with billing questions. Maintain and update electronic health records, create patient charts, and ensure documentation accuracy and HIPAA compliance. Serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff to notify arrivals and support smooth patient flow. Address patient concerns professionally, escalate issues as needed, and collect basic vitals and complete UDS when nursing staff are absent. Perform front desk operations including filing, faxing, and scanning, while maintaining a clean reception area. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at satellite offices in Wake Forest, Zebulon, and Fuquay Varina.
