Job Summary
The Patient Services Specialist provides high-quality front-end patient support by managing patient intake, scheduling, medical records, and financial transactions across multiple stations. Responsibilities include greeting patients, check-in according to clinic policy, verifying identity, updating demographic information, collecting payments and co-pays, issuing receipts, handling patient forms and medical history documentation, and routing messages. Additional duties cover scheduling and physician support—managing appointments, resolving conflicts, coordinating requests, and documenting hospital consults. Medical records management includes creating and updating charts in EMR/billing systems, handling requests in compliance with HIPAA, and supporting subpoenas as required. Financial responsibilities encompass posting payments, daily close documentation, deposits, and cash reconciliation. Compliance with all regulations, IT standards, and disaster recovery, plus cross-site coverage and onboarding of staff, are also required. The role requires a High School Diploma (Associates degree preferred), at least one year in healthcare (physician office experience preferred), strong customer service and multitasking abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Required Qualifications
