Job Summary

Coordinate patient services to optimize appointment scheduling for endoscopy and related services. Responsibilities include scheduling, rescheduling, and managing cancellations/no-shows; contacting patients to recover cancellations; coordinating with Financial Counseling for alternative payment options; coordinating with field operations for scheduling options; maintaining physician schedules and endoscopy block time; coordinating hospital-based procedures and ancillary services; collecting accurate patient information; processing prescription refills; providing patient counseling on treatments and preparation; responding to inquiries via calls, emails, and portals; ensuring HIPAA compliance; supporting billing accuracy and timely payment; cross-training in additional Patient Service Coordinator tasks; participating in meetings and training; and performing additional duties as assigned. Education: High School Diploma or GED; Experience: 2–3 years in relevant healthcare settings preferred; Skills: healthcare IT familiarity, scheduling, patient care coordination, bilingual preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience (call center, eCW, specialty clinic, and/or gastroenterology) preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical workflows, scheduling, and patient care coordination
  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred
