Patient Services Representative - Urgent Care

Job Summary
Serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the outpatient facility. Greets and checks-in patients, verifies information, schedules appointments, and updates the EHR. Facilitates intake procedures such as completion of healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments for services. Builds rapport with patients, families, and staff while ensuring privacy and safety in accordance with regulations. May orient other staff to the department and perform additional tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- 1 year of recent relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
- Written and verbal communications skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Respect for privacy and PHI handling
