Job Summary
Greet and register patients, collect co-payments and insurance information, and verify coverage details. Schedule new and existing patients accurately in the practice management system while communicating appointment times, directions, and referral information. Prepare and manage patient charts, coordinate interpreters, and handle switchboard calls including transfers and referrals. Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff while working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at the Staples location. This role supports Twin Cities Orthopedics, an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Customer Service experience
- Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 or more hours per day)
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies or files weighing up to 20 pounds
- Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
- Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
- Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
- Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
- Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
- Ability to work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
