Job Summary
Patient Services Representative responsible for insurance verification and eligibility, pre-authorization and pre-certifications, counseling patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery, ensuring accurate entry of insurance, demographic, and eligibility data into the billing system, registering patients, collecting co-pays and other payments, balancing receipts, and performing general office tasks in a medical office setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working face-face with patients in a medical environment/office setting
- Two years minimum office experience in a medical environment
