Job Summary
Patient Services Representative Rehab at WellStar in Roswell, GA, performs front-office duties including pre-registration/registration, scheduling, and clerical support. The role handles patient demographic/insurance information, verifies benefits, assists with pre-certifications/authorizations, collects co-pays, and maintains accurate records in EPIC and OP Rehab EMR. Responsible for delivering a compassionate patient experience, answering calls, coordinating with financial counselors, and supporting department operations with data entry, inventory, and reporting. Local travel may be required; standard day shift (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, M–F).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in a healthcare setting with front office responsibilities
- Experience with insurance verification and insurance authorizations
- Proficiency in EPIC and OP Rehab EMR system
- Typing and data entry competency; basic computer skills; familiarity with Insurance terminology and ICD-10
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to verify benefits and collect co-pays, and perform revenue collection tasks
