Job Summary
Frontline Patient Service Representative responsible for patient check-in/check-out, collecting demographics and insurance information, determining eligibility, collecting co-pays, posting charges, cashiering, appointment scheduling, and related clerical duties. Requires exceptional communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills; HIPAA/privacy compliance; proficiency with electronic health records (EPIC) and MS Office; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Works at SBC Clinic, San Bernardino, CA; offers full-time schedule with standard clinic hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPIC certification for the module assigned
- Six months of customer service/healthcare-related or vocational training experience
- Medical terminology preferred
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Full-time work eligibility in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- EPIC certification for the module you have been hired into
- Six months of customer service, general office, healthcare related, or vocational training experience
- Bilingual-English/Spanish preferred
