Patient Services Representative (Per Diem)

Job Summary
Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism while collecting service payments and reconciling daily transactions. Manage incoming calls, route them accurately to the right teams, and guide patients through clinic policies and required forms. Verify and document insurance benefits in patient charts, log all interactions in the electronic health record, and coordinate with care teams on schedule changes. Handle filing, scanning, and faxing to support clinic operations while upholding HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict patient confidentiality. This per diem, floating role requires working a minimum of three shifts per month, including two Saturdays, across Dallas-area locations. Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 3 shifts per month
- 2 Saturdays per month
- Weekday coverage
- Holidays alongside weekday coverage
- Shifts from 6:30am to 4:00pm on weekdays
- Shifts from 6:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays
- Ability to work in a float pool
- Location in Plano, TX
- Willingness to cover shifts across Dallas-area locations including Dallas Baylor, Dallas Perot, Rockwall, and Southlake
- Professionalism in patient-facing work
- Warmth and composure
- Ability to stay calm and composed under emotional weight
- Comfort managing competing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to make patients feel heard and at ease, even when they are stressed or scared
- Proficiency with EHR systems, or a demonstrated ability to learn software quickly
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare or clinical front desk experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with insurance verification and clinic procedures
