Job Summary
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously in a high-volume call center environment while greeting patients and visitors warmly at the front desk. Schedule appointments for new and established patients using electronic software, verify insurance eligibility, and collect copays to maintain accurate financial records. Accurately input patient demographics and insurance information into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, ensuring referral documentation is complete and pre-visit documents are scanned into patient charts. Check patients in and out with efficiency, monitor the daily appointment schedule, and ensure front desk areas remain organized and stocked with necessary supplies. This role combines clinical front office and call center functions at Southlake Orthopaedics, requiring the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of experience in a medical office or call center environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- You must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of EHR systems and medical terminology is highly desirable
