Patient Services Representative - OSI Physical Therapy

Job Summary

Greet and register patients, collect payments and insurance details, and verify coverage information. Schedule appointments in the practice management system and prepare patient charts. Handle switchboard duties by accepting calls, coordinating interpreters, and managing referrals. Communicate appointment directions, check-in times, and referral information to patients. Maintain timely communication with staff and families while performing chart management and patient rooming tasks. Work Monday through Friday between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM at our West St. Paul location.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 or more hours per day)
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies or files weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
  • Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, various hours between 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Ability to work out of the West St. Paul location
  • Ability to accept, handle and transfer calls
  • Ability to coordinate interpreters for clinic appointments
  • Ability to coordinate patient referrals
