Job Summary
Patient Services Representative responsible for patient check-in, check-out, and registration duties at a medical practice. Responsibilities include greets and directs patients, verifies registration and PHI, processes and scans pre-registration information, handles ID verification, prints appointment lists, collects copays, schedules and reschedules appointments, and maintains patient demographics and insurance information in the practice management system. Must comply with the practice's Code of Conduct and Compliance Program, demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, work well under pressure, and provide professional, confidential service in a team environment. Requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of clerical experience in a medical office setting; basic computer skills are required. Physical demands include extended sitting, keyboarding, and occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
