Job Summary
Patient Service Representative (Medical Receptionist) at Corewell Health Urgent Care greets patients, manages front-office operations, verifies insurance, communicates costs and billing policies, documents patient information, and supports clinic workflow. Requires HIPAA/OSHA compliance, proficient EMR use (EPIC preferred), strong communication and multitasking abilities, and willingness to travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed. Full-time with 12-hour shifts (7 AM–7 PM), on-site in Chesterfield, MI. Pay $17/hour; benefits include health coverage, 401K, PTO, and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, multitask
- Technical Skills: EMR software experience, EPIC preferred
- Flexibility: 12-hour shifts including some weekends and holidays
- Team Player: proactive, friendly, patient-focused
