Job Summary
Patient Service Representative responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, managing front-office operations, and supporting clinic workflow. The role emphasizes customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration within a healthcare setting. Key duties include welcoming patients, handling patient and business documentation, performing insurance verification and communicating billing/policy details, determining and collecting patients' financial responsibility, assisting the practice manager and staff, ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance, and traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent (Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus); 1+ year of relevant experience; experience with EMR software (EPIC preferred); willingness to work 12-hour shifts with some weekend/holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications

- Experience: 1+ year as Medical Receptionist or Patient Service Representative in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking in a busy environment
- Technical Skills: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); EPIC preferred
- Flexibility: Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays
