Job Summary
Front-desk Patient Service Representative responsible for greeting patients and visitors, managing front-office operations, verifying insurance and collecting payments, maintaining confidentiality, using EMR (EPIC preferred), ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance, and supporting staff and clinic workflow. Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required; role emphasizes customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus
- Experience: 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Technical Skills: Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
- Flexibility: Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays
- Team Player: A proactive, friendly, and patient-focused approach to service
