Job Summary
Greet and assist all patients and visitors while managing front-office operations and administrative tasks. Collect and organize patient and business documents, verify insurance eligibility, and determine financial responsibility. Collaborate with practice managers and providers to ensure smooth daily workflows, and enforce HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards. Operate office medical equipment and oversee quality assurance programs including CLIA waived laboratory requirements. Travel to other Corewell Health Urgent Care locations as needed to support staffing and operational needs. Full-time 3-day/12-hour shifts from 7AM to 7PM with no overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to efficiently multitask and work across multiple screens simultaneously
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Administrative Assistant certificate
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Experience using EPIC software
- Proactive, friendly, and patient-focused approach to service
