Job Summary
Greets and checks-in patients, verifies information, schedules appointments, and updates the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Manages intake procedures, including completion of healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments. Serves as the first point of contact for patients across float-pool travel to multiple California locations (Stockton, Ceres, Lodi, Modesto, Patterson, Tracy, Turlock). Emphasizes privacy and safety in accordance with regulations, policies, and PHI handling. Requires HS diploma or equivalent and approximately 1 year of related experience; strong communication, time management, organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Full-time role with varied shift hours and travel between designated sites.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- 1 year as typically acquired in a similar environment
- Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing
- Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
- Written and verbal communications skills to communicate with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures
- PHI privacy compliance
- Build collaborative relationships with peers and staff
- Travel between multiple locations as part of float pool role
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours/week
