Job Summary
Patient Services Representative II at Silver Cross Hospital handles 100+ calls/day, assists with scheduling office/lab/nurse appointments and detailed message taking based on providers' protocols, and multitasks between offices/providers' protocols. Requires understanding of insurances and referrals, and the ability to use independent thinking to determine urgent vs routine matters. First shift, Monday–Friday, 8am–12pm. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a high-volume healthcare call-center/front-desk environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Call Center/Front Desk experience preferred
- Prior experience and in-depth knowledge of insurance preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers
- Exceptional customer service skills with independent thinking and sound judgement
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and handle challenging situations
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to use personal computers and select software applications
